We are considering expanding our VoIP network to include an office
overseas; however, the latency between them and us averages about 300ms
round trip. It's a small office with 12 people or so, and the plan is
to just drop in a 1760 with SRST out there for local calls; however,
they will be connecting to the CM cluster over that 300ms link.

Assuming that these employees are only using their phones to make
intra-office calls or calls out the local gateway, do we need to worry
the high latency connection to the Call Manager? The interoffice call
volume is quite low and can go out PSTN if necessary.

Thanks,
Doug

Not too much of an issue if it doesn't fluctuate which would cause
jitter..also is this over an MPLS link or VPN / IPSec? We've had
challenges more recently with quality over VPN links for inter-office
and now just use PSTN. We are looking to change our IPSEC tunnels to
MPLS to get that QoS back in with lower cost circuits.
