I understand how irksome it would be to have your innoncent post
defaced by a disclaimer, but would you prefer that the message was
blocked entirely? I have had a number of complaints about psychos
trying to destroy rec.boats, but, rather than block the newsgroup, I
thought it was better to take a more moderate course, and put in a
disclaimer.
You can use a key to get around the blocks and the disclaimer:
Make up a key of 4 characters - letters or numbers.
Send it to admin@parsifal.ath.cx. Do it anonymously, making
Parsifal the last remailer in the chain.
That way it stays encrypted until it gets here.
When you send a message to one of the blocked newsgroups, or
one that has a disclaimer, make the key part of the subject.
For example, if your key is 1234, then your subject would be
something like this:
Subject: (1234)my comments on whatever the topic is.
The (1234) will be removed before the message is sent out.

How about taking on a real remailer attitude? Look at the disclaimer from
Bigapple:
Comments: This message did not originate from the above address.
It was remailed by two or more anonymous mail services.
Send complaints of REAL abuse ONLY to remaileradmin at optonline dot
NOTE: Trolling and flame wars are not considered real abuse.
Pay attention to the part NOTE: Trolling and flame wars are not considered
real abuse. I see groups get trolled every day.
I downloaded the headers for rec.boats. It is polluted with a few OT
posters that have changed the topic from boats to politics. In essence, they
have taken over the group for their own political discussion forum. But,
that must be OK with you. If someone bitches at them through your remailer
because they are posting off topic political BS, they complain to you and
you censor the people that are trying to put the group back on track.
So your service is a disservice, plain and simple.

I would much prefer you block the group than embarrass some unsuspecting
person. Then the person would see his post did not get through and choose
another remailer.

You don't know what the complaints were that led to the operator adding
the disclaimer.

In your strange world, adding a disclaimer is censoring, but blocking the
newsgroup, as you suggest in another post, is, apparently, not.

Yes I do, someone complaining about off topic posting. It was far less mean
spirited than a few regulars there that are posting viciously and
maliciously off topic.
For instance, have a look at the Burnore crap that has been flooding this
group. That is originating in rec.boats.

I would prefer a group blocked than to see some innocent good hearted person
get embarrassed as I showed in another post.

Argyle
