FPSE error on Windows server 2003 IIS6 FP2003 |
 |

Please could someone help me out at all?
I've installed Windows server 2003, added SP1 and configured it as an
application server with IIS etc, including FP server extension that are
supplied with Windows Server 2003.
After publishing existing sites to the server my forms with email address
are not working. Error as follows: FP error #160002 (email address used is
invalid)
I have tried several addresses that I know are created on our mail server
but still cannot seem to get forms to work.
Any Ideas???

McAfee anti-virus causing problems: blocking outgoing smtp port 25 although
inetinfo.exe is in th excluded processes list. If all outgoing access on por
t
25 is allowed then all works 100%.

Note:
I assume you are referring to the standard Mcafee anti-virus for client pcs?
Servers require a server anti-virus program.

Hi Tom,
The version in use is the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0.0
The following exe files are EXCLUDED from being blocked on port 25 by defaul
t.
amgrsrvc.exe,tomcat.exe,outlook.exe,msimn.exe,agent.exe,eudora.exe,nlnotes.e
xe,mozilla.exe,netscp.exe,opera.exe,winpm-32.exe,pine.exe,poco.exe,thebat.ex
e,thunderbird.exe,ntaskldr.exe,inetinfo.exe,nsmtp.exe,nrouter.exe,tomcat5.ex
e,tomcat5w.exe,ebs.exe,Fire
Svc.exe,modulewrapper.exe,MSKSrvr.exe,MSKDetct.exe
However, when port 25 is blocked and the exclusions as listed above are
enabled on Windows Server 2000, the frontpage extensions work 100% but do no
t
work on Windows Server 2003 with port 25 blocked but excluding exe files as
listed.
(Current win 2000 server machine running same Anti-Virus version.)

I would recommend posting your issues to the experts in the windows server
newsgroup. There are issues with Windows 2003 and SP1.
