Hi,

I've tried to remove some unwanted packages via 'apt-get remove', after this
packages are shown as "rc" at 'dpkg -l' so I tried to 'dpkg --purge'. Now
they are shown as "pc" - now way to remove them completely.

How can I remove this completely?


Another: some packages were "hold" but now I want them normal "ii". How to
unhold a package? I've read about 'aptitude unhold' but this does not work.

"aptitude install" should work.  I usually run aptitude in the
interactive mode, press "=" to hold a package and "+" to mark it for
installation.
