bad backup

i made a backup for my "my document" folder as zip file on cd and put some
other files on the same CD as well, formated the system from 98 to xp.

now, got a big problem.
the xp don't see the zip file (see the oter files).
i really need to recover the zip file real bad.

i once looked at the cd on win 98 and i saw the file but the zip file didn;t
open.

what can i do?
can i recover it from xp?

You have got your Zip program on XP haven`t you ?.

yes i do, but i can't even see the zip file on the CD from the XP, like it's
not even there.
