Hi,

Background:
Ealier today I made a big mistake by deleting a couple of channels from our
website - and I deleted them from the recycle bin as well.
I then tried to import an sdo-file I created for backup, but had problems
with the import due to a got in to the trouble with an
System.OutOfMemoryException as described in the tread "Import Error"
&ptlist=&
exp=&sloc=en-us).

Questions:
Do you have any ideas about how to solve the System.OutOfMemoryException
(other than described in the tread mentioned above)?
Is it possible to restore the system based on a back up of the MCMS-database
from last night? - if so what are the roadmap for the restore?
Do you have any other suggestions as to how to restore the lost channels?

Regards

Michael Andy Poulsen

Hi

One way is to do a regaular SQL restore from the backup, to another
database. Once that is done, you can create a package that contains only the
channels you need to recover. With a small SDO file, the chances of getting
errors is reduced.

Hi Mei Ying,

Thanks for your answer.

I could not get the ex- and import function in Site Manager to work properly
with the channels.

I ended up restoring to a new database and shifting the CMS system to the
restored database. It worked out fine, and we are up and running again.

Regards
Michael
