In the CMS book that I'm using, users asigned to the "Author" role are
supposed to be able to delete pages that they own. Apparently, in addition
to being able to delete their own pages, Authors have the (undocumented?)
ability to delete anyone else's pages, too.

Am I missing something? It seems like a bit of a waste to set up workflow
and roles, only to find out that any old Author can delete pages created by
anyone else.

If anyone knows how to correct this behavior so that the Author role only
has delete funcitonality for the pages they own, please spread the wealth.

Thanks,
Mike

Ah, I was missing something.

The users in the Author Rights Group that I created must only be given
permission to edit a subset of the pages in the site. By adding these users
to a Subscriber Rights Group, too, then they will have read access to all
content, and write/delete access to only that which they are assigned in the
Author Rights Group.
