I've been looking at MCMS Manager by Chester Ragel. What would it take
to create a similar application but with the same ability to connect to
a remote server as site manager.

Chester Ragel writes that it is only possible to run MCMS manager on
the MCMS server.

Hi Nikolai,

the problem is that the tool uses the publishing API (PAPI) and this API
need to run on the server locally.
You would need to implement a webservice that is installed on the MCMS
server machine and which does the PAPI calls.
Then you could implement a client calling this webservice rather than doing
the PAPI calls.

Cheers,
Stefan
