the biztalk ftp adapter is really nice. But we are looking for a secure way
of doing file transfer. We use scp and sftp a lot in my organization. Is
there any biztalk ssh adapter available? If not would it be possible to
adapt the biztalk ftp adapter to make it use sftp instead of ftp?

thanks,
d.

We use SSH for securing file transfer, and set Biztalk simply to read the
files using a file receive function.

Works great. We use the server software from ssh.com for this (it's
inexpensive and easy to use).

What could be easier? No need for an adapter.

As far as I know, there isn't something like this available - but you
could encrypt your document instead of the transfer?

Hi Jan,

FTP transmits the login id and password in clear text. Even if you encrypt
the file, you make it easy for a hacker to gain access to the FTP directory,
where they can download the file, delete it, upload an alternate... make all
kinds of mischief.

SSH is an order of magnitude better. It is open source, runs on Windows and
Unix, and has very few bugs.
