Hello,

I'm deploying an IPCC solution. I have installed the Supervisor software and
when in starts it displays an error because it cannot reach the VOIP monito
r server. I haven't installed this service because I'm not going to use it,
but I don't want this warning message to appear each time the Supervisor sel
ects his team.
Anybody knows if it is possible to say the supervisor somewhere to not searc
h the voip monitor server?
Should I re-run the install setup to install this service?
The availability of this service depends on the type of license?

Thanks,

Ruben

Actually it is possible with some bulky configuration....

Configure the button as a shared line apperance in the same partition (this
will give you the monitor side of it)

The calling feature is done using PLAR.

Lets say you want the first button to monitor/call extn 1500

Create a partition lets call it 1500_PLAR_PT
Create a Calling Search Space 1500_PLAR_CSS and add only the 1500_PLAR_PT to
 it
Create a translation pattern with the pattern empty, partition 1500_PLAR_PT
and calling search space what would be required to dial 1500 from a normal l
ine.
Then enter 1500 as the called number translation.

Assign this 1500_PLAR_CSS to the button and you how have a button which will
monitor the extension 1500 as well as call 1500 when pressed.

Cheers
Brad

What you're looking for is a busy lamp field/speed dial button. This is a f
eature we've wanted for almost the entire history of CallManager 3.x +. I w
ish I could say it was possible, but it's not...yet.

One quick question,

is it possible to monitor the state of a line with a button in the ip phone
and use this same button to call this person???
If it is possible, how could I configure it?

Thanks,

Ruben

I made a test with two phones and I still have a problems.
Here are the steps I've done:
- configure partition A
- configure calling search space B
- add partition A to calling search Space B
- add PHONE A and PHONE B to partition A
- activate calling search space B on PHONE A
(activated on deviceconfiguration and on
the line configuration)

Normally PHONE A should now be only able to make
a call to PHONE B and anything else not, but
unfortunately it does. PHONE A can make normal calls
like all the other Phones.

Did I forgot something ?
Is this a wrong way ?

Regards,
Ahmad
