I would like to know if there are any alternative to site
server 3.0. Since we are unable to install this on windows 2003 server

We use the site server 3.0 for publish purpose only.
Specially transfering web pages and images from our development server to
live.

It may not be as fully featured as Site Server 3.0 publishing was, but we
use robocopy (Robust File Copy Utility) for this purpose. It has a number of
options to control what gets copied, including only copying files that have
changed, and it can be easily scripted.
