I have an IIS 6.0 application that I am accessing from IE6. When I set the
IIS for "Basic" authentication everything works OK. When I try to use
"Digest" authentication, the IE6 popos up the passwor box a number of times.
The password box does not pop up at set spots in the processing of the fairl
y
complicated frams display that the page returns. Sometines there will be 12
or more requests for authentication and at other times only 2-3 requests
occur.

Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Are you running SP1 on your Windows 2003 Server?

Yes, the server has all of the latest updates.
