Why fetch the sources?  If you have a Unix-like system, you already
have the time command (it's also built into several shells).  If you
don't have a Unix-like system, the sources aren't likely to do you
much good.

There's nothing wrong with looking at the sources to learn how the
command works, of course, but you're not going to be able to build
them on Windows, for example, unless you install a Unix emulation
layer like Cygwin (which, again, gives you the time command anyway).
