I hope someone can help me... I've got an old Mac that I am trying to
get running as a linux box. I really want to get it running with
NFS-root for testing.

So.... I have emile (http://emile.sf.net) up and running, and I can
mount the home directory for the box. I can boot using dhcp.

The boot process mounts the home dir, and then dies with

Kernel panic: no init found.

Now this is where I run out of knowledge....

I am pretty familiar with *nux in general, but I have never run debian.
The nfs server is running Fedora Core 2. I have also never worked
with Macs, and never even seen a mac running linux, so I am a bit in the
dark as to what should be in the NFS-root directory and its structure.

I have all of the sarge CD isos on my server, but I'm not quite sure
what to do with them.

Is there a HOWTO or some basic docs somewhere on how to manually extract
the needed files off the isos and build a functional minimal FS?

All I really want the mac to do is run a basic shell for now......

Thanks,

--Yan
