Hello,
Based on the description I'm assuming you are trying to install WPS 5.1.0.1.
I would advice you to download the latest version of the info center and fol
low each step carefully as per the instructions.
But in a nut shell..
1. In order to install WPS 5.1.0.1 you need to have WAS 5.1.1.3. Download th
e WAS fixes and apply them.
2. Make sure your app server runs properly without any issues. Check SystemO
ut.log and SystemErr.log files of app server
Before upgrading, go through this support document at IBM support site which
gives clear information on fixes
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docvie...8&cc=us&lang=en
3. Change the timeout request for the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) c
lient. The default, in seconds, is 180. Within the was_profile_root/properti
es directory, edit the soap.client.props file. Change the line to:
com.ibm.SOAP.requestTimeout=6000
4. Cluster only: Create a text file named wpwasdm.properties with the follow
ing contents:
# contents of wpwasdm.properties
WasDM=true
5. Download the Portal fix pack WP_PTF_5101
run the udpate installer
6. Once you successfully completes the above step.. you need to run ./WPScon
fig.sh CONFIG-WP-PTF-5101 command
During this process, you may get errors. If you get, look at this technote
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docvie...8&cc=us&lang=en
There is another error:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docvie...8&cc=us&lang=en
Follow the info center instructions carefully.. and if you run into any issu
es.. make sure to go through the above tech notes.
Once you are done with successful migration, then try to migrate from Clouds
cape to DB2 database.
If you have any issues, please do post it as it helps others. If you still h
ave issues and can't get it to work.. call IBM support and open a PMR.
IMP: Before you try to upgrade, take an image of the server.. so you don't h
ave to spend lot of time in building your environment.
