Ok, I had an idea, and it seems to of corrected this particular problem.
I wondered if the security settings in IE might be interferring with the
ability to submit the administration forms, so I changed them to the lowest
setting, and now the web based administration works just fine, and I am also
not prompted to enter my user credentials while logged in as Administrator
already, which was annoying.
Hope this helps anyone else that might run into this same problem!
