    Enterprise 4 and x windows

Everytime I install Red Hat Enterprise 4 AS it always includes X
Windows (x11) in the install, even though I do not select it.

How do I get x windows NOT to install?

Unselect the X Windows and Desktop Environments......

Hint: Uncheck the Gnome Desktop Environment as shown in the link below;

There is neither a check in "X Window System" nor a check in "GNOME
Desktop".

Both are deselected.

So why are they being installed?

You have selected some other package that requires X and/or GNOME. For
example, any of the graphical system management tools.
