Hi,

I have three computers in the lab. Two are installed with Fedora 2 and
one is CentOS. Since the computers are used by multiple people, each
person can use a different computer in the lab every day. Is there a way
to share the files between these three computers? For example, no matter
which computer the user is using, he will see the same files under his accou
nt.
And the files changed in one computer should be immediately updated in
other two computers.

I am a newbie to Linux. Please excuse me if I make mistakes.

NIS and NFS are your friends here.  NIS will provide centralised authenicati
on
(the users passwords are stored on one box) and NFS will allow users to
access files from a machine designated as the file server.  Here is a blurb

although you will not need as complicated an NFS setup as described.
