Has anyone successfully implemented Parallel portlet rendering in 5.1 portal
? We attempted one time, but nothing seemed to happen. The Info Center has
great instructions, but they don't seem to do anything. Is this worth purs
ueing?

Here are the steps we find works:

Step 1: Log into the application
Step 2: Select the "Administration" tab from the top
Step 3: Select the "Portlet Management" link on the left
Step 4: Select the "Web Modules" link on the left
Step 5: Look for your WAR file name (for example "xxx.war") and select it
Step 6: Then Select the individual portlet name and choose the "Configure
Portlet" icon on the right. When the "configure Portlet" window opens up
you will see the following properties which are below:
This is where you can enable PPR. You DO NOT want to set any
portlet cache options here. Portlet caching should only be done at the
application code level on a portlet by portlet basis.
Step 7: Make sure you select "OK" to save your changes to this one portlet.
Step 8: Repeat these steps as required for each portlet.
Step 9: Once you have made all of your portlet PPR changes please log out of
the admin section close your browser and then try the application.
