Hi,

I have RAD upgraded to 6.0.1 running on WAS 6 upgraded to 6.0.2.1 on a windo
ws 2000 SP4 development box. I am trying to install Portal 5.1.0.1 on WAS 6 
as per the instructions in the portal info center.

The installation fails with message "Configuration of the Portal failed."

I have searched the isntallation log and the only appearence of an error I c
an find is as below, can anyone help??? I cant find any documentation on thi
s.

Hi, I just found this in the infocentre and am going to try it out, I will l
et you (if anyone should experience this problem) know how it goes:

Manage the length of your Path environment variable

During installation and configuration values are added temporarily to the Pa
th. As a result, you might see the following error during configuration:

The input line is too long.
The syntax of the command is incorrect.

This message might also appear in wpsinstalllog.txt.

This is because the Path environment variable is approaching the maximum len
gth allowed by Windows. It is recommended that you shorten the PATH and then
 attempt to configure again. The Path environment variable can be accessed b
y right-clicking My Compute
r and clicking Properties. Then click the Advanced tab and click Environment
 Variables.
