How can I mount USB key (disk on key) not as root on Linux or Solaris
Workstation?

The users might be on the sudoers list so they can do a
sudo mount ...

Of course, one needs to be root to set this up.

Make a line in /etc/fstab to mount the device with option "user" or
"users" (man mount, man fstab).
