Hi,
My biztalk server 2002 will be receiving multiple
files of different format. I want to process these files
files in a particular order. Can this be achived without
using orchestration ?

If I orchestration is the only option, then how to go
about it ?

Regards,
Anunay

You could take a look at this article involving priority based processing
from Biztalk 2002 sp1:

319450 INFO: BizTalk Priority-Based Message Processing Improvement

Thanks a lot Jack. This has saved me lot of trouble.

I already have SP1 installed. Correct me if I'm wrong.
There is no UI interface to change priority of a channel.
It can only be changed using UpdateChannel.vbs

Anunay

I experimented a lot with channel priority. It seem that
even though channel follow priority, they process data in
parallel. The Channel priority was evident only when the
documents were of the same size and were submitted to the
BizTalk at the same time.

I took two files one of 500KB and another of 2MB. No
matter what the priorities of their channels were, the
smaller file always got processed first. I also tired
submitting 500KB file 1 seconds after submitting 2MB file,
but still the 500KB file got processed first.

My requirement is that if I post 3 documents, the
documents should be processed serially and in a particular
order. Only after the first document has been processed
successfully, biztalk should start processing the next
document. How can I achive this ?

Thanks,
Anunay

In BizTalk Server Administration, you can decrease the number of
