There is a portlet application that our customer has deployed many times.  R
ecently when trying to update this portlet application within WebSphere Port
al 5.0.2.2, the portlet update fails with the following 3 errors:

PECM0015E: Portlet application manager failed when user uid=wpsadmin,o=defau
lt organization executed command UpdatePortletApplication.

PEAS0044E: Redeploy of Web Module failed.

PEAS0004E: Administration rights for Application Server are missing.

They are trying to update this portlet using the sysadm ID wpsadmin so autho
rity shouldn't be a problem.  Any idea as to why the update is failing would
 be appreciated.

you should add wpsadmin as an administrator of the consol admin of websphere
 application server.
