Hi all,

I have a windows 2003 with IIS6 running on it. Currently 100 of web sites
are hosted by this server. Can I rename the server name to a different name
without corrupting the web sites on the server?

Thanks in advance.

Khoa

It shouldn't be a problem. Still, my recommendation is to do a backup. Open
IIS right click the server select All tasks and select backup...

Yes. Of course, they still may not work.

And you can't get a better answer than that given the details
provided. We don't know if you're using a domain account to run IIS,
if each of the sites has a separate account, or basically any details
at all. Other than of course the fact that you believe FTP, Security
and ADSI development issues will crop up, based on your posting to
those groups.

Jeff
