I'm really new to all this.
I've just signed up for voipfone.
The service is just what I've been looking for.

I've been given an 056 number.
How much does it cost someone to call it??
It doesn't seem to say anywhere?
Or am I getting confused?
I assume the 056 number is a landline number??

Thanks.

OM

4.89/2.00/1.18 p/min on BT
Whether these numbers are inclusive in any of BT's plans I don't know.
18866 charge the same 'Zero pence per minute' as they do for standard
landlines.

Its only the above rate on a 'BT Standard' line, of which very few exist. Fo
r
most residential users who are on BT Together Option 1, the costs are 3p day
time
and then 5.5p fixed rate for up to an hour off-peak.

That's interesting. What is a BT 'standard line'?
I thought the lowest line rental was Option 1.

There is the Light User Scheme.

That charges at the standard rate, but you can't have ADSL or any other
services on it. My mum has it.
