SIF mainly deals with the Interoperability of the data layer so I=
would think the data would be replicated before it ever made it=
to Flash. Am I missing something? What are your trying to=
achieve?
Thanks,
Mike Weiland

Does anyone know of existing implementations and/or development=

integrating Flash, FCS, and SIF (Schools Interoperability=

I'm using Flash and FCS as an addon to a Macromedia Director standalone
executable, that can provide a multimedia quizbowl with classroom to
classroom competition and cooperation. The content can be correlated to
state standards. I want data to flow into the app with prescriptive info
(which standard(s) to address) and out of the app with student performance
data, within a SIF environment.
I thought perhaps there may be Flash components that would facilitate this.
I know at one time Macromedia delivered some SCORM-compliant capability in
Flash.

I know Captivate has Scorm built in... dunno if that helps.

I'd give Steve Curtis over at Edustructures=
(http://www.edustructures.com/) a call, maybe they have=
developed an Xtra already. I know they are very skilled at=
writing Xtras for Director as well as SIF development.
For those that want more info on SWF you can see the Flash=
animation that we developed for Edustructures at:=
http://www.edustructures.com/flash/
Good luck,
Mike Weiland

Thanks Mike,
I've posted a contact request on edustructures' web site. Also looked at
your Flash animation--very nice.
For any eager Flash/FCS developers out there: A SIF Agent for Flash/FCS, if
possible, might be a saleable tool.
Woody
