Hi,

I'm currently trying to determine the parallel between the bandwidth
needed by the Flash Player when he encodes a live stream vs the bandwith
needed to view this same live stream from a FlashCom server.
The point is that I'm running two PRTG on a local and a remote machine.
I can emulate an audio input in the encoder by simply selecting my audio
'wave' (in windows sound control panel) as an recording source, and
playing a mp3 playlist in winamp.
Of course, I can select one of my webcams for the video input of the
encoder, but I'd like to evaluate the bandwith implied by some
parameters on a live video stream, and of course, on the remote place
with the encoder, my webcam are staring at an empty place.
I've tried Virtual Camera
(http://www.securitycamsoft.com/virtualcamera.htm), but was not entirely
convinced by it...
Apart from competing for tying my webcam to a live animal (and thus,
may'be competing for StuffOnMyCat if I use two webcams) as anyone
already tried a good webcam replacement ?
The ideal would be either a software or something to do (as my audio
'trick') to be able to send the encoder a live video stream ...

Any idea ?
Thanks

PS: I have a PC TV Rave video card that allows me to watch tv channels
on my broadband connection (IP TV), but Flash doesn't seem able to get
any video signal from it ...
