Certain SendMail implementations will do domain/IP lookup on the sending
party based on the HELO/EHLO argument (due to variety of reasons), and if it
fails refuse mail transaction with such a party. Make sure the argument
supplied to HELO/EHLO is actually a valid host/FQDN or IP with corresponding
DNS structure.
