Hi,
I'm using commerce 2000. I have commerce server on one
machine and SQL on a different machine. I'm creating a new
site using the site packager to unpack the retail store.
everything seems ok until I get to the Data warehouse
screen. I use the test connection option, it returns
successful but when I click OK I get a error saying "Bad
file name or number" then I can not go any further unless
I skip that section. when I looked at the event log, that
message generated a log with the following info:

Source: CSDataWareHouse
Category: None
Event ID: 49167
Description:
DW Pup :Error craeting OLAP database, make sure the
current user is a member of OLAP Administrator Group

notice there is even a typo in there.

I have no idea what's going any help is appreciated.
please note that the administrator password for both
servers are identical.

Thank you for using Microsoft Newsgroups.

Make sure you that analysis services is installed on the commerce server
and in SQL.  The installation instructions outline the steps:

If it is installed then log in using the administrator's credentials and
try to unpup the data warehouse resource.
