Thanks! We switched back to the original subdomain and get this error:
The web server at http://www.staging.villanova.edu does not appear to have
Windows SharePoint services installed"  we are not using SHare Point on this
server!
Most of our sites have been subdomains and we are switching to subfolders.
We never had problems with the subdomains before. What is the best way to
copy the extensions to the new subdomains - the strange thing is some users
can access the the new subdomains thru FP and some cannot.
