I presume the command window are under view - Others windows -> Command
window (or CTRL+ALT+A)   ??

when I type the command I get
>devenv /setup

Command "devenv" is not valid.

any help would be appreciated

go to Start - Programs - VS.NET 2005 - Tools - "VS.NET 2005 Command Prompt".
