Hello, I spent hours to find why my W2K3 test server with IIS6 and fpse2002
was not working properly with Frontpage 2003.

To remember:
When I was trying to publish or save (overwrite only) files on the FP WEB, I
got this message in FP 2003:
[An error occurred accessing your Windows SharePoint Services site files
.
Authors - if authoring against a Web server, please contact the Webmaster
for this server's Web site. WebMasters - please see the server's applicatio
n
event log for more details.]

Absolutely no error message in any log (no error in author.log, not in WWW
Logs, not in Event log, ...) Because the files are effectively written but
the status in fp2003 is considered as bad.

I removed SP1, IIS6 and FPSE, rebooted, reinstalled IIS6 and FPSE and now it
works but the SP1 is not applied anymore...

Is there a plan to get a fix one day?

I tried to reapply sp1 after but same result...

Thank you to let me know if there is a plan to make it working sometimes...

Milan

First, Windows 2000 Server doesn't support IIS 6, only IIS5

If you are running Windows 2003 Server, then remove SP1

Well, W2K3 = Windows 2003 in my acronyms!
My question was: I have SP1 removed.... Does someone knows if there is a way
or will be a way to make FPSE2002 AND Win2003 SP1 working together???

When I look at your reply, it seems that there is still no fix...

I haven't managed to get the FP extensions to work with SP1 installed.

I was having this issue as well and found the following regarding a similar
issue:

1. Open your Internet Explorer. Select Tools > Internet Options > Advanced,
and uncheck all "HTTP 1.1 settings" check boxes.

2. Under the "General" tab in Internet Options, clear all tempory internet
files including "Delete all offline content".

3. Close and restart Frontpage. You should now be able upload without error
.

It finally addressed this issue for me and I have been able to publish
without issue for several weeks now.
