I'm setting up a FrontPage site; I've input the smtp server name and email
addresses. Problem is, the smtp server I'm using requires authentication, a
user name and password. Where is this done? Or is it possible?

The FP forms to email transport does not support mail servers that require
authentication.

As I suspected....any work around you know of? Aside from converting the
site to .asp?

Got a fix for that. Now the customer's email form spits out a 404 error on
submission unless I turn on Windows Intergrated auth for the site and login
as sysadmin. What permissions must granted for this to work? This a
Windows2003 box with IIS 6

Well, I suppose it's a misnomer to call it a fix. The form(s) in the page
were simply sending an email to the website owners; so I convinced the
hosting company that it wasn't necessary to require smtp auth on emails
coming from the customer's webserver@somdomain.com to the customer
joeuser@somedomain.com, as long as they specify the IP address in hosting
company's email server exception list....
