Has anybody gotten WCS 5.5 to install on Redhat 9 ? I know it's not
"officially supported, but wanted to know if it was possible. I am getting
an error during the install that says "Failed to determine Linux type", and
it hangs.

you can but only if you dig into to trick the install into thinking it
is another version and I dont remember how to do that off the top of my
head.

I got it to installed on both Redhat ES 2.1 and SLES 8.0 but it would
not install on RedHat 7.2. The installer would just hang on RH7.2.
Also, DB2 udb would not install on RedHat 7.2 but worked fine on
RedHat 8.0. Anyway, even with Commerce successfully installed on
RedHat ES 2.1 and SLES 8.0, configuring a commerce instance does not
properly update the IHS httpd.conf file. I get the following error on
both OS installs . . .

java.lang.NullPointerException

Anyone seen this error?
