I am trying to set up a secure connection for my SMTP server. However, when
I try to send messages, I get the following error message:

The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value.

How do I create the correct certificate?

server name: main.megaheights.net

I am using an e-mail server alias mail1.megaheights.net to identify this
server

Errr. the cert command name in this case must be same with the actual mail
server alias.

Well, how do you get the mail.xxx.com cert previously?
On the other hand, it is easier to change the mail1.xxx.com DNS record to
mail.xxx.com compare to re-generating the cert. is it possible?

I am running my own certificate server (W2003), but don't know how to create
a certificate with this name. I just used the standard options.

I prefer to keep the name for future changes.
