Hello,

I need to activate Time of Day routing in my CCM config, but I don't know ex
actly how.
I have a group of users that during the day can make international calls and
during the night only internal calls, and many other groups with these kind
 of conditions...
I have created one partition for all the phones and then some specific parti
tions to be applyed to the route patterns.
Depending on the rights of the user, I create a CSS with the correponding pa
rtion: internationalcalls_day, internal_night, etc...

As I cannot assign time schedules to the route patterns, I understand that I
have to create different route patterns for the same route, but only changi
ng the partition. Is that correct?

Has anybody done a similar configuration?

If you need more info I can more or less recreate the same scenario..

Regards,

Ruben

HI Ruben,

Yes, you will need to create two Route Patterns with the same pattern =

and place them in different partitions. Here is an example I posted =

for someone a month or so ago. It is based on their requirement to =

forward to two different numbers depending on the time of day, hence =

the dummy phone.

Time of Day routing simply filters the available partitions in a given =

CSS based on the schedule configured for the partition(s). Here is an =

example of how to route calls to an IP Phone during the day and to a =

cell or home phone at night.

Partition AllPhones TimeScheduleTS
UseThisTimeZone (EST)
TimeScheduleTS TimePeriod TP1
TP1 08:00 =96 17:00 Mon To Fri
Partition AfterHours TimeScheduleTS1
UseThisTimeZone (EST)
TimeScheduleTS1 TimePeriodTP2, TP3
TP2 17:00 =96 24:00 Mon To Fri
TP3 00:00 =96 08:00 Tue To Sat

PhoneA has CSS of AllPhones:AfterHours
PhoneB DN 2000 is in Partition AllPhones
Dummy DN 2000 is in Partition AfterHours and has CFA to 2125551234 (the =

user's cell phone)

PhoneA calls 2000 on Tuesday and 10AM. The call is extended to PhoneB =

DN 2000 as the partition AllPhones has not been filtered via ToD.

PhoneA calls 2000 on Tuesday at 8PM. The call is extended to Dummy DN =

2000 and forwarded to 2125551234 as partition AllPhones has been =

filtered out and AfterHours is available.

Let me me know if you have any questions.
