I get the message "The document root of the web server
where you are trying to install the server extensions
already contains a disk-based web". In FP,when I
subsequently go to Tools - Web Settings it states "No
server currently in use" even though there is a web site
actively being served on IIS (Windows 2000). Running
Fpsrvadm.exe does not help.

I appreciate your fast response. I did what was said, but
it didn't work. I presume the document root of the
virtual server is the "Default Web Site" under IIS. I
made the suggested change in the file service.cnf.sc.txt
file (there was no service.cnf file). Maybe part of the
problem is when I try to run "configure server extensions"
under Default Web Site I get the same error message
below. Should I completely remove the disk-based web on
C: and reinstall FP? Should I remove the path to the disk-
based web in IIS before doing this? After reinstalling FP
could I then copy over the disk-based web into the
document root on C:?

A correction. There is a folder called service.cnf in my
Default Web Page in IIS, but I can't open it in notepad
because I can't figure out the path. "Search files" does
not find service.cnf. I get to it inside Computer
Management (local) which I access by right clicking on My
Computer and choosing Manage. Maybe this is my problem.
