We are getting ready to deploy over 100 systems with XP and Office 2k3.
We have had success with making images of the machines the way we want
them. Our problem is this. We have all of these systems deployed and
though they are all connected to the network, Polling problems with
Ghost 8.2 will bring our international network down.

This is where the bootable DVD problems come in. We are looking to make
a bootable DVD using ghost to hold the image of the computers we want
to deploy. We have not found a way to do this so far. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

Google "bootable CD to restore ghost" and the 1st hit show this article
from Symantec.

How to create a bootable CD/DVD and restore a Ghost image

[url]http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost.nsf/8f7dc138830563c888256c2200662ec[/ur

or
+Windows+2000/NT/Me/98/XP&src=sg&pcode=ghost&svy=&csm=no

I am not sure how useful this article is.

My preference is to make a bootable CD (without any ghost images), once
and for all. This bootable CD include CD/DVD drivers, pluse a ghost.exe.

There are some bootable CDs available on the web.
Just google "bootable CD".

My favorite is UBCD4Win, available here.
