I cannot get my hit counter to work. I am running FP2002 on XP Pro and
hosting the server on my local machine that serves up
http://www.northoftheneck.com

I have performed the FP and SE upgrades. I have enabled "script only"
execute permissions. Anonymous user with IUSR_ is enabled. Check server
extensions returns "no problems found". Check server extensions 2002 does
not work. FP web report shows a component error: "This page contains a
Frontpage Hit Counter componenet that will not functuon properly until you
publish your Frontpage web to a server."

Is saved the IIS view to the northoftheneck.com server where it shows a stop
sign "error" on the Default Web Site icon.

I purchased the book Windows Sharepoint Services Inside Out. It indicates
that "This is because you can't extend the same virtual server with both
Windows Sharepoint Services and Frontpage 2002 Server Extensions" ...
reference page 397. So I unistalled IIS and Sharepoint and then reinstalled
IIS with all options checked. At this point the hit counter always showed
"1" on IE over the internet. Then I downloaded the latest FP 2002 extension
s
from microsoft.com ... Now the hit counter is an empty box ... and the
problem I listed above.
