I am experiencing the following problems and my hosting company says that
can't offer me any assistance:

Scenerio 1:
1. Open up my website using Explorer
2. From any page click the edit with Front Page icon in the Explorer
toolbar.
3. Page opens in Front Page WITHOUT requesting a username or password
4. After editing the page I click save and instead of saving to
my site's directory, I am directed to a location on the C: drive.

Scenerio 2:
1. Open Frontpage and select open web and enter my website address
2. Page does not open; dialogue box pops up saying "Server Error: FrontPage
security violation"

Any suggestions on how I can fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

These are host related since they happen when you are attempt to access your
 live/remote site.

Under Scenario 1, this is normal when you have not actually logged into the
site via FP, so it is
not possible to save any changes back to the live/remote server, if so then
anyone using FP could
edit your site content.

You need to ask your host to run a server-health check and/or check the perm
ission for your account.
If they can't fix the issues, then you need to switch web host.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact

Thank you very much. This is what I suspected, but the host company has
insisted for a week that it is not their problem and continues to blame my
software even though I have attempted from other computers and had the same
problems.

I have sent them your suggestions for resolution and will switch hosts if
they refuse to take action.

Thanks again.
