Hi,

On our development server, our Windows 2003 license is going to expire soon,
and our CMS 2002 license has already expired. We have all the necessary di
sks to update the system. Is there a recommended way to reinstall Windows 2
003 and CMS 2002 so that we
preserve our development environment? Or is there a simpler way to update t
he licenses for both products without reinstalling? Also, are there any pat
ches to be sure to install?

Thanks,
Laurie

Hi Laurie,

are you using a Eval Version of CMS 2002?
The eval version is the only one that can expired.

Then you need to uninstall the eval version and install a licensed version.

If you receive this message with a non-eval version then the CMs system
account does not have rights to the registry to read the license info.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi Laurie,

most stuff is stored in the database. You will have to enter again all
information that is stored in the registry - so all local override you did
in the SCA.

Cheers,
Stefan.

anything we should be careful about when doing the uninstall and re-install?
