According to the following documents, inline power is the cisco pre-standard
 for power over ethernet and PoE is the new standard.

The best would be to read the specifications of each product to see exactly 
what you are getting and whether the product is 802.3af compatible or not. 

Then again, you may not need 802.3af. ;)

just played around with the "dynamic configuration tool" (http://www.cisco.com/app
con...eHomeGuest.html) 
I configured an 2811 with some inline power stuff. 
When it checks the config, it reports some warnings (see below). Why? I thin
k everything needed is there?!? 
Anybody experience with the HWIC-D-9ESW-POE or  NM-16ESW-PWR? Recommendation
s? Differences? 
And maybe somebody can explain the difference between PoE and Inline-Power i
n this case? 
I think its the same, just want to be sure...
