wow that was fast, thank you!
i got the samples from:
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/fl...ample_apps.html
and yes, they are all in the applications folder.

here are some of the settings in my fms.ini file which could shed some
light.
SERVER.ADMINSERVER_HOSTPORT =3D :1111
ADAPTOR.HOSTPORT =3D :1935
VHOST.APPSDIR =3D C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Media Server
2\applications
APP.JS_SCRIPTLIBPATH =3D C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Media Server
2\scriptlib

i am also wondering if some of the .asc classes in the scriptlib folder has
been updated already, as i've seen many updates for flash communication
server. i would imagine though that the 'media server' was rolled out
recently and with the updated classes..
