Hi All ,
I am facing a weired problem in my Biztalk Application. The application
has a number of orchestrations with Send and receive ports . It was
wroking fine till last week. Something went worng and I am facing this
probelm.
I deplye my orchestrations. Send and Receive Prots are created for
theses orchestration.I want to bind these prots with resp.
Orchestrations. If i right click any orchestration , and choose Bind ,
it should ideally show me options to specify receive/send port along
with Host.
Instead it gives me option ONLY for host. The send and receive port
binding is missing .This is case for all orchestrations .I reconfigured
and reinstalled BizTalk , still BizTalk bahves the same way , not
providing any send /receive port options .
Any clues why this is happening or how can I get these bindings in
orchestration Bind option ?

Thanking in advance
Swati

Hi,

Have you checked that your orchestration ports are still of type "Specify
Later" or "Dynamic"? Typically, have you refreshed your view?

Be sure to undeploy und deploy the assembly correctly thereby ensuring it to
be copied newly to the GAC.

Sincerely

Joerg Fischer

Thank you Joerg for your prompt reply !

All the ports in orchestration are of type "specify Later". It was the
req. of our application to bind the ports at runtime .
I have actually uninstalled and installed BizTalk 2004 . Still binding
page doesn't give me any ability to bind ports. Are there any settings
in Registry for orchestration binding which are not overwritten when
Biztalk is reinstalled ?

You will need to recreate the ports. It would be easier if you exported
binding files for your assemblies. I assume you cannot find the ports
you expect in the binding drop-downs if you check the ports available
on the server.

Hi All ,
Thank you for all the resposes !!
I tried the suggestions given by you all .

Actually my probelm is I cannot see the port binding on the page
itself. I tried to create ports manually as well as using binding file
.The binding file is exported correctly but sitll the Bindingpage gives
me drop down only for Host .
I tried the following with no luck .
1. I first tried to undeploy everything removed it from GAC then
deplyed it.
2. I created one new biztalk project with orchestration and its ports
as later binding to see if that project only has the probelm.deplyed
the new project .Even the new orchestration is not showing the dropdown
for binding the ports.
3. I tried to restart my mcahine .
4. Reinstalled Biztalk 2004 .
5. Finally I formatted my machine . It worked well for some days. For
last two days I m still getting the same issue. After digging more . I
found once I deply my orchestration if i do explicit entry in
bts_orchestration_port table of BizTalkMgmt Database , I can see the
ports drop downs on the binding page . My guess is due to some problem
(may be rights probelm)... while deploying BizTalk is not populationg
this table.
Any suggestions are welcomed !!

Thanks and Regards,
Swati
