I use Windows XP Professional SP2 as an operating system.
I tried to clone my harddisk on a second one for backup reasons. What I
did was that I did an acronis image of my harddisk as it is now. I
removed my "old" harddisk and ran acronis while booting in order to
install the image on the "new" harddisk.
>From that point on I got several different errors that differ every
time I try. Sometimes I get as far as to the welcome screen of Windows
XP, sometimes (actually most of 'em) it tells me it misses some dll
(c:\"windows-root"\system32\hal.dll or similiar).
I really don't understand what goes wrong. I hope somebody can help me.
Thanx a lot!!!

Don't know the answer to your question, however, several
things to try. First make sure you have the latest version
of Trueimage (you don't say which version you are using, but
the latest is version 9 and until recently, LOTS of people were
having issues with the new version (very buggy when first
released). The current build of version 9 is 2337.
Second, try asking in the Acronis forums -- there
are lots of good people there.

Hope that helps
