First and foremost, my specs:

OS: Windows 2000 Professional on a PC, not a server
Installed: IIS 5.0 + security patch (did not install FP2000 server
extensions with install)
FP Version: 2003
Error received: "The server administration programs and the server
extensions on the web server are not compatible. The administration program
is too old to use with this server."

History: I have completely de-installed the FP2002 server extensions and
IIS.  I re-installed IIS, this time, making sure to not install the FP2000
server extensions component.  I then re-installed the FP2000 server
extentions and the security patch.  The error persists when I try to do any
of the tasks from the management console tasks attained by right clicking on
the default web or the "web server".  This is just a small departmental
knowledgebase site that is used by the entire department throughout the day
for providing help desk support.  We are unable to get the site posted to a
company web server due to lots of red tape and budgeting issues.  We are
working with what we have.

Considering the information above, what am I doing wrong here?  Why am I
getting this error.  As a side note, I cannot get the site to "publish" on
the web server.  I am having to copy and paste files into the folders of the
site structure, treating it as a network share.  I also cannot get retrieval
of information from Access database tables to work properly either.  There
are such pages here that worked on the PC that these things previously ran
on, but have not worked since being restored to a replacement PC.  Please
help!

I would suggest that you start again, install IIS and the FP extensions from
 the Windows 2000 Pro
CD, then once you have them working and configured, then you update them. FP
 2000 uses a .exe file
to manage the extensions, I do not recall the filename, but you manage the e
xtensions from within
the IIS MMC
