Hi,
I have just upgraded to VS 2005 and MCMS 2002 SP2 and converted my project.
There is no Template browser and no way of creating a CMS project, what do I
do?
Jim

Hi Jim,
this is a known bug in MCMS 2002 SP2.
See here for a list of all bugs:
http://blogs.technet.com/stefan_gos.../16/414617.aspx
Your issue is the 3rd on the list.
The workaround would be to change the regional settings to US-english.
The problem "only" affects users who are not running US-english locale.
Currently the product team of MCMS is checking with the product team of
VS.NET to isolate if the problem is caused by a bug in VS.NET or by a bug in
MCMS.
Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Jim,
just to add: in order to be able to retrieve the hotfix for this as soon as
it gets released you should open a support case with Microsoft.
Then you will automatically get the hotfix.
Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
I have done that and have only English US running on the machine and still
have no access to CMS. I don't get any error messages either

Hi Stefan,
I didn't build it myself the engineers did. Does that mean you don't see the
template browser anymore?

Hi Jim,
if you followed the instruction in the readme and if you changed the
regional settings to US-english you should see the template explorer.
Cheers,
Stefan

Hello Jimmy,
Have you ensured you are creating a new MCMS Web Site project using the HTTP
option (which isn't the default)??
FileSYstem web projects will not show the Template Explorer.
