    OmniFind 8.3 - ESSearchServer not working

Hi,
i've installed OmniFind 8.3 (including DB2,webshpere 6.02, HTTP server 6.02,
 IBM WebSphere Information Integrator Content Edition 8.3 and WSIIIC)

i'm trying to run a tutorial scenario (written by Thomas Hampp & Alexander L
ang).

when i try to run the Serach on the collection i created i get the following
 messages:

FFQC4013E The search process for collection OFSD could not be started. Ensur
e that the HTTP server is running properly (on port 80) and that the ESSearc
hServer application is running in WebSphere Application Server.

FFQQ0136E A communication error occurred when attempting to POST to the serv
let at host portal2.clearforest.com and port 80. HTTP error code: 500. HTTP 
error message: Internal Server Error

can anyone assist?

Most likely, you forgot to start the WAS server instance called "ESSearchSer
ver"
