I am writing an ASP page to edit a database.
Ive done it many times in the past successfully and I am using copies of
that successful code, so i wont worry about the db code or setup its fine.
i can read no problem from the db's, but if i try to edit one i get...

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]
Operation must use an updateable query.

Which i remember in past meant i need to set permissions to write in folder
security.
So i goto the db's folder and rightclick, goto properties and get the
following tabs.
General, Sharing, Web Sharing, Customize

A help article says,
[To Display the Security Tab: Start/Settings/Control Panel/Appearance &
Themes/Folder Options. View/Advanced
and clear "Use Simple File Sharing".]
So i goto Folder Options but no Advanced tab/button is there.

I know im probably missing some little setting somewhere but with all the
work recently i just cant think straight anymore lol.

Please help if you can.

are you using ntfs partition?
