When I start a Flashcom app and have VH Screen Capture Driver selected
as my video source, I get one frame of screen capture and then a popup
that says:

"VHSScrCapHS.exe - Unable to locate Component"

"This application has failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix the problem."

I have reinstalled the application several times but to no effect. I
found several mentions of the dll on the Web, but nothing that would
help me:

html/vclrfatlcompatibilityissues.asp

/
html/ vcoriRedistributingMFCATLOLEDBTemplatesA
pplications.asp

I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else, and if they found a
solution...

Yeah, I was hoping it was stupidity on my part (it's not often you hope
for that huh?) but it appears MM just decided to phase out an use of
legacy AS1 code using AS1 Remoting in Flash 8.=20

Well, you're right then - that does suck.
